The editing areas
- Waveform: locate the passage and zoom in near a boundary.
- Range: inspect or refine the selected start and end times.
- Playback: listen to the file or the selection before changing it.
- Editing tools: keep a selection with Trim or remove it with Cut.
- Effects and export: finish the audio, then write the result to a new file.
A useful order for a first session
Open a recording and listen before selecting anything. Mark the range, preview it, and make the trim. Add finishing effects after the timing is settled so you can hear what each change contributes.
When you export, choose a new filename and check the saved copy. The editor’s open audio and an already-exported file are separate stages of the work.
